Getting from Anchorage to Seward is made a lot more pleasant by taking The Alaska Railroad. With travel packages that include Kenai Fjord Tours wilderness cruise, this offered a relaxing way to leave Anchorage, have breakfast on the train – and take our cruise. We then stayed at the Windsong Lodge where we were able to enjoy a great dinner and lodging.
While you could drive to Seward in less time, taking the train allows you to relax, while spotting mountain goats, moose, and bear.
